STUDY MATERIALSnun2-buoy

Developed by sailing instructors with decades of sailing and teaching experience and after having certified thousands of sailors, at all levels.

Each ”Study Plan” includes videos with clear explanations and learning tips on the major topics and concepts for each class level and hundreds of practice questions and answers covering the same important information taught by sailing schools around the world and required by the largest and most popular international bareboat sailing certification programs.

The quizzes are designed to reinforce learning, comprehension and retention, and prepare you for the type of questions you will see on your tests.  The quiz questions reflect the accurate use and definition of words and terminology which is priority-one and sets us apart from any competitive products on the market.

The quizzes provide insight into; various test question formats, subject matter, scenarios, relevant answer choices and include tips to help understand how and why one answer may be chosen over another.

Multiple questions on similar topics highlight key points and/or minor differences to enhance understanding and reinforce memory retention.  In turn, you will be better prepared to successfully pass your exams and make good use of your knowledge.

BEST TIME TO START ONLINE

Start with the videos and review the questions prior to class, study in conjunction with your classes, and review every season and prior to your next bareboat adventure.

Starting prior to class provides a clear advantage by having been exposed to word usage, concepts, how the information is applied and key areas to focus on with your instructor.

The schools and instructors ask students to come prepared and be familiar with these materials prior to starting a class. This allows the instructor to focus on boat handling skills while applying the textbook information.

The materials and skills to be learned at the sailing schools are quite extensive and the allotted time for the school and the instructor is limited.  An early start ensures more time to study at a leisurely pace and a much more successful and enjoyable class experience.

It is a Win-Win for you and the instructor.
